Hi My wife and I are teaching in Zhaoqing and have been asked to teach next semester at Zhuhai S&T College which we are told is some 60yuan by taxi from the city centre. We are thinking of visiting one weekend soon and were wondering if u can recommend somewhere to stay? We intend to look at the city and some other teaching sites. Zhaoqing is a great place also if anyone is interested.

In the Jida neighborhood, there is a hotel called Electric something or other which is upstairs from the Eskimo Cafe next to McDonald's. It is clean and nice and generally about 100 a night. I will pm you my contact info as well.

you're going to be 60 yuan from the city centre? take your passport when you go into town, because if youre that far out you might not even be in zhuhai SEZ. theres a cheapish and ok hotel straight across the road from the Ji Da market, on the corner of the road into Ji Lian Xin Cun if that helps. stand with your back to the Holiday Inn facing the road, cross the road, turn left and the keep walking straight ahead. the road into Ji Lian Xin Cun is the last one before you reach the traffic lights. a little supa save market on the far corner and the hotel on the first corner you reach - next to the chemist. a couple of hundred metres at most. good luck. get into gong bei on no2 bus, or just walk if you dont mind sweating.
