When can you start?
Got any strict preferences about location?
You're qualified for a visa like so many other generic newbies. Read the FAQs and decide whether you can come here to look around, or whether you are better off staying there and getting hired.
Competition is steep. Not much else to add with the little info you've given. |

Thanks for the reply Glenski, really appreciated.
I have come across JET, and i am amazed!
it fits perfectly with what i want, and when i want! I have a Pass B Celta, a First in a BSc degree, and i have already visited Japan and LOVED it.
Do you have any advice pre-interview. Anything that would make my application stand out?
Obviosuly it looks like they would prefer me to learn the language, and culture....
once again, thanks or your wisdom! |

Pre-interview advice abounds on the internet. A simple search will find it. I used to have a file with half a dozen sites with that info, but some of them have become dead links now. |

I know Pass B is one of the better CELTA certificates but unfortunately I think an employer is just looking for the word "CELTA." I have CELTA, just Pass, and it hasn't been beneficial for me in finding a job in Japan (even though most job offerings say 'prefer candidates with CELTA'). I mean it certainly can't hurt but the competition is as fierce as they say it is. Almost three years after getting my CELTA I'm still stuck in Korea...
I also think places like ECC kinda frown upon certifications like CELTA because they want to mold you into their style of teaching. |
