Ah, John, you're so cynical, or, should we say "prescient"? Wink

Dear Isla Guapa,

Cynical, moi? Perish the thought.

Anybody up for a hiking trip along the Iranian border?

Regards,
John

Thanks for the invitation, John, but these days I confine my hiking to the green paths of Chapultepec Park in the heart of Mexico City.

Dear Isla Guapa,

They may be green, but they are NOT the path to riches and lifetime financial security.

Kind of gives "Take a hike" new meaning, doesn't it? Very Happy

Regards,
John

"Riches and lifetime financial security". Wow, what a novel concept! I'll have to stay content with my modest pensions and hope the peso-dollar exchange rate continues in my favor.

With the two hikers freed, a book deal and a movie are inevitable.

For the movie...

Justin Bieber as Shane Bauer

Justin Timberlake as Josh Fattal

Hillary Swank as Sarah Shourd

Gary Oldman as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Reese Witherspoon as Hillary Clinton

Morgan Freeman as Barack Obama

Ron Howard will direct. Steven Spielberg will produce.

There will be a red-carpeted, star-studded Hollywood premiere.

The three hikers will receive a cut in profits. They will enjoy royalties from box office, DVD sales, merchandising, etc. Millions will roll into their coffers.

The months of imprisonment, torture, loneliness, sodomy or self-abuse, despair, sadness, fear, desperation, regret, bad food, bad smells, bullying, crying -- could have been worth it...

Confused
