Advice: Don't do it. Try to work directly for MOHE. I've now tried out two different recruiters and I can say only that one is slightly worse than the other. I thought the first one was bad as they kept siphoning off of my paycheck and argued with me when I first arrived that they couldn't pay me until I had a bank account but of course one cannot have a bank account here without a resident card which "they" have to do. I had a very difficult time finding housing and they were of no help. They left me abandoned at the airport at midnight and when I called she said, "sorry I'm sleeping".

Experience 2 "british company" (ahhh they were soooo nice on the phone!) they are the WORSE... run by a husband/wife team with the man supposedly the field director but instead is ruled by his wife, people prying into our home life, arrival to a cockroach ridden flat, "blame management" ie. (since they are being paid to get us, the professors situated we must ask them for our needs) but they find a way to weasle out of doing anything, and if something is wrong they make it your fault. If I say my couch is filthy, they say, "we will decide that". Snotty attitude, incorrigible and they think that we are in a class situation with them at the top and we the professors at the bottom. phew that feels good to get off my chest.

But, aren't you teaching EFL? Professors are normally treated much better than we TEFLers.
