With these credentials, would it be possible to get a job in the UAE?
-I only will have one year teaching experience in Korea a the end of my contract. I am trying to figure out if I should stay on for another year for a second year experience.
-I have a master's degree in elementary education and am certified.
-I'm working on my second master's degree in TESL. NOT a certificate.
-I have a year's worth of substitute experience in the US.
-I have a year's experience as a classroom assistant in an elementary school in the US.
Can you tell me if you are a teacher that got hired in the UAE with only one year of experience?
Thanks! |

You might be considered by a k-12 school that offers the country curriculum that your education degree is in (i.e. UK for UK schools).
Tertiary institutions require the Master's in TESL + 3 years POST grad experience - and there are lots of applicants with those quals.
Should you still apply? Why not? But don't be surprised if you don't get a response. |

I would have looked for a K-12 job since I'm certified in elementary. I found a job in another country for next year, so I'll be able to get my second year experience after all.
Thanks for the info, helenl! |
