Hello!
I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to give me some information about working/living in Belize? I am not finding anything when I search this forum, although I'm sure this has been discussed before.....
I am just wondering the availability of jobs & what life is like living in this country?
If I turn up with no job will I be able to find one relatively easily?
Is the cost of living bearable? Relative to pay?
Those are the main things on my mind - thank you very much for any & all advice on the matter!
Cheers,
nicole |

Its my understanding that jobs in Belize are not plentiful, as Belize is an English speaking country, and as such, there is no outstanding need for foreign native speakers. Maybe in the southern part of the country where there are more Spanish speakers. But I dont think there is a big market for EFL teachers in Belize. |

In all my time surfing job sites, I think I've only ever seen one ad for Belize, and that was a volunteer position. Looks like you have to be on the ground for jobs. Not the cheapest place to live either... |
