It is difficult reaching anyone at YOK by phone. Is there a URL for checking the current status of a work visa application? Application was made from within Turkey.
My school sent in the paperwork by cargo, but did not receive a signature confirming receipt... and just wonder where the paperwork might be sitting.

Looks like nobody knows
I wouldn't get too worried about it as I've known people to work for a year to 18 months while waiting
The major downside is the lack of state health insurance etc |

| I found a link on Mymerhaba and passed it on to my employer. Our processing office can't get through to these people by phone, so I thought the online check would help to discover whether my paperwork is moving forward or sitting on a desk collecting mold. |
