Hi,
Sorry to sound like such a novice, but could anyone suggest what is the safest way to carry some money when traveling to Oman? I won't be carrying a whole lot. Just a few thousand dollars or Omani rials if I can find someplace to change my local currency into rials. Traveler's Checks?
Thanks. |

Travellers cheques are not a good option as you will most likely only be able to change them in MCT.
Cash is fine (USD works best) and most if not all branches of all the banks will exchange it for little or no commission. |

Cash will suffice. You can easily change USD or Euros at the Muscat Airport before you go through immigration. |
