| I've looked for info about Bien Hoa, but have found almost nothing. If you have any input from personal experience of living/working there, fill me in. I'm particularly interested to know if there are more than 4 language schools there (that's all I've found listed) and how difficult it is for a foreigner to find housing? I'll guess there's almost nothing in the roommate dept., so I'll be interested in 1 bedroom apt/studio with kitchen. I don't currently have a moto, so living in the north of HCMC isn't an option. Thanks. |

Bien Hoa is the proud home of the south's preeminent metal health facility (read- insane asylum). Vietnamese will make jokes about it... "You go Bien Hoa, ah?"

I don't know anything about the work situation there, however, I went there for a few days to attend a wedding and found the place to be charming. Westerners seem to be rare there as I was instantly surrounded by six or seven Vietnamese who were merely curious. I would expect everything should be considerably cheaper than Sai Gon proper.
