Did anyone here attend the one year course there?
I applied last year and was granted a COE for a College Visa
by immigration (I was quite surprised since there wasn't too much in my savings account).

However, I backed out because realistically I didn't think I'd have enough money. So here I am in Korea for another year, this year I think I can afford it, but is it worth it? One year is 750,000 + plus living expenses, that's not a small chunk of change.

I want to get some serious Japanese language skills and actually get to use them everyday. Furthermore, I'd love to find work and live in Fukuoka afterwards.

Is the cost appropriate for this learning institution? I mean " Fukuoka YMCA" doesn't look as nice as _____ University on a resume.

I can't find any other college/Universities in Japan that have full-time language courses where anyone can enter without a sponsor school. The only exception is Waseda which is unfortunately out of my price range and I heard they only accept about 68 students worldwide each year!

If I do this I'll be flat broke afterwards, but I've always wanted to reach a high level of proficiency in another language, particularly Japanese. I've always valued the things you put in your head over the things you put in your garage, etc but how can Japanese skills (I'm nowhere near a complete beginner but my proficiency bottomed out) benefit me afterwards in this tough job market? I've been wanting to get my foot in the door in Japan for many years now and this is one avenue.

Any positive feedback is appreciated!

Are you dead set on learning Japanese from a college/university, or will any of the schools on this link suffice?

I'm not necessarily dead set on a college/university. It would be
nice to get transferable college credits if I ever wanted to pursue an
East Asian studies Master (something I pondered). However, if it's
not possible/practical I'll just take the language skills and a JLPT
certificate.

Another important thing is I want a school that will offer a College
visa so I can stay more than three months.

The Fukuoka YMCA is the sister-school of Asahi Nihongo Language School in Fukuoka, the latter does not offer a visa so they referred me to the Y.
