for anyone whose had a business visa stamped into their passport. what exactly does it say in arabic?
does it say your sponsors name? your job title (teacher/ english teacher?) |

You didn't ask, but for the benefit of those who do a future search and this shows up.
A "business visa" assumes that you are a business person on a short term visit on business. It is completely illegal to teach anywhere with it. It very likely says "no work allowed."
That said, many, if not most, of the sleazier employers (and a very few of the legitimate ones) use them for the simplicity of getting teachers in quickly. Plus they are cheaper for them, and you have no legal rights whatsoever in the country and are completely under their power.
The only benefit to you of this visa is that it is simpler for you to abscond if they are one of the truly awful Saudi employers. You don't need an exit visa... but don't give them your passport.

VS thank you for your answer and your clqrificqtion. I have got the same case. I have been granted a teaching contract with Royal Comission of Jubail as an ESL Teacher at the JUC. I got the contract stamped and signed but they got me a visitor visa and they assured to me that they will get me a work visa once I get to the KSA and that this will be done through Bahrain.
The offer is attractive but I am not sure of this visitor visa thing. I would be happy to read your comments.

Dear Bashimu,
I can tell you what is written on your visitor visa since I know Arabic:
Your Visa number right at the top right
Just under that your name
Just under that The name of the institution inviting you
Under that the period of stay usually 30 days
At the end it is written in Arabic: NOT ALLOWED TO WORK
Now to the left at the top there is the validity of the visa which usually 6 months
just under your Religion: Muslim/Christian/...
Under that is the means of transportation you will be using to reach the KSA: Air/Land/Sea

Hi Yassoun,
I'm being offered a temporary work visa (valid for 1 year). Can you please explain this to me? Also, can you translate what the visa stamp would say? Thanks! |

I was just offered a position on a 'business visa' and I am very concerned about it.
I'm guessing the passport holder bears the responsibility if caught working? What happens then? You are deported and the employer keeps your wages and you aren't allowed back into the country or something nice like that?
Does this happen very often? Do they catch people working on 'business visas'? |
