Hi there, My husband and I are currently in Vietnam, and are interested in teaching in China (we're Canadian, TEFL certs., degrees, etc). If we do find a job, does anyone know how to go about getting a Chinese visa from Vietnam? Does having a job lined up in China help?
Thanks.

Pretty sure that you have to have a job before you go to China to work legally. The employer has to send you an inivitation letter, which you then take to the Chinese embassy to get a Z visa.

Address: 46 HOANG DIEU ROAD, HANOI, VIETNAM

That's the address of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, so I imagine you would, at some point, have to go there (or apply by post if that's an option).

You could go on a tourist visa, source a job and then do a 'visa run'. Also be prepared to have the medical check take a long time (well, it might be different in Vietnam, but it's exhausting trying to explain to a doctor in the UK why you need an x-ray, ECG and blood tests...).
