The problem is not inherent in Islam or the Qu'ran - the thing is that people are misinterpreting it. Certainly if you look at it within context then it all becomes much clearer.

Dear leeroy,
Whoa, now that's what I call a blatant hijack.
"The problem is not inherent in Islam or the Qu'ran ."
Ah, just what "problem" are you referring to? Try as I might, I can't see any "problem" having been mentioned by the two previous posters.

For those of you not in the know, the Arabian weekend begins on Thursday. I call it the "week-mid". |
So I guess Wednesday can't be called Hump Day in Yemen?

Do we really need a special day for that?

Actually it WAS true. Until the south lost the civil war in the 90s, it was a communist state, officially non-religous and there was a brewery in Aden that brewed a very decent beer. Until a MiG from the north blew it up. |

It maybe just me and probably is but when you are quoting someone can you please use the 'Quote' function above the text box you write in?
It's highly annoying when one does not use something that is there to make reading easier.... (although my grammar has a lot to be desired...)

Problems with Grammar ?
I see that in one of your other posts you cannot distinguish between "raise" and "rise".
Are you sure that you are an English Teacher ?
Perhaps the distinction between transitive and intransitive is of no importance to you. |

Dear LA,
Yikes - you're asking a Neanderthal whose technological expertise extends about as far as stone tools to become more computer literate?
LA, I'm lucky I can even turn a computer ON. But what the heck, I'll give that "quote function" thingie a try next time. Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks.
Regards,
John
In fact. I'll try it now:
