Hi Guys,

I am a student from Australia, I am looking to apply for a NET teaching position and think I come in under category 4. I have a BA in Chinese (Mandarin) and I am completing my CELTA certificate. I have no formal teaching qualifications, other than the CELTA once it is finished, nor do I have any extensive experience teaching. So basically I am a newly graduated degree holder with no experience... chances?? haha

The application deadline is in February. Any one here been in a similar situation and received a position as a NET?? I am apply for Net Primary btw.

People I know who have been so qualified have been turned down for positions with the EdB. I was accepted. Others here have been accepted with only a CELTA.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.....

...honestly, we don't know.

Send in your application and wait and see. That's the only way you'll get a correct answer to your question.

The NET interview was tough,but I got through.I turned down the offer because I did not like the crap they were offering.

...and they want loads of documents.Some of their demands are ridiculous like they want to see a CELTA transcript..LOL

Man, I can safely say that the 'crap' they offered me would put me over a headmaster in a state school in the UK.....and without even 1% of the crap they have to deal with. Works for me.

Paperwork? That's the norm now, especially for jobs that pay as well as the NET scheme.
