Before I go digging online for a place to teach in China, I thought I'd try this first:
Can anyone recommend a specific school to me?
I'm a 29 yo male American with a bachelor's, and have experience teaching in Korea. I'm open to the location, but overall I just want to find a good school. I know that we all define "good school" differently, but I'm interested in the schools you considered to be decent; and if you'd like to state why you liked the school, that would be great.
Thanks!

i think my college/tech school is fine...shenzhen polytechnic, think we got like 31 foreign teachers, and a lot of the teachers have been here multiple years and never leave, also great foreign affairs office, and good classrooms, pay is better than most of the colleges i have seen advertised.

some other bonuses-like 2000rmb xmas bonus plus the 2200rmb travel bonus, half of the flight ticket makes a good paycheck in dec/jan. of course that's already on top of your normal salary. (although this year we now get it all at the end of the year...)

FAO-contacts are all very helpful, any problem of mine has been taken care of..right away as a matter of fact, i just got a new ac unit installed, called to ask if they can replace it (leaking water)...and they did it right away!

the ability to openly work outside, it is said in the contract we can just as long as we notify them...but usually they will call you and ask you if u want some pt work.
also if ur into kids they had a sat. morning teaching the faculty's kids, for 500rmb per class...2 classes each, so 4hrs worth of work netted ya 1000rmb

as for the xmas bonus i'm not sure yet...we have got that 2 years in a row so hopefully we will get the bonus and "i won't be enrolled in the jelly of the month club this year! gotta buy that swimming pool!!!"....any one get that movie reference????

Anywho, I hope that helped...take care spike ur hair!
