Anyone with recent experience with Raffles Education in Shanghai?

Salary?
Paid on time?
Working conditions?
Management?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated

Not direct, and not too recent. A friend of mine worked there 2-3 years back. They worked him like a dog. They gave him all the writing classes instead of spreading them out among the teachers. He was working 50 hours a week just to keep up. I think he lasted 3 months.

Thanks for the info RED.

They mentioned 40 hour per week and 25-30 contact hours... Don't think I would last 3 months with them!

Let's see if anyone has any recent info about them.

Pay is around 18K a month plus. No accommodation.

Lots of teachers from the Philippines.

A lot of teaching hours, but teachers find ways to cut corners.

Large number of expat staff.

Not a bad option.

BUT be prepared to work hard and do a lot of marking on your Saturdays.
