I was impressed with the availability of Czech beer in Wroclaw. Czech beer is much better than Poilsh beer, IMO.

i agree.

have you ever been to the bars under the train tracks across from Arkady? good czech beer on tap, 5-6zl a pint. plus, you have like 10 bars to choose from in that strip there.

How much are the New Year's Eve tickets this year? The Vikings is having a free do in Poznan....that's refreshing; on the other hand, Genessiss in the rynek is 400ZL.

I think I missed those. I did check out Artzat which was a cool old-fashioned pub. And Alive! music club had some talented bands.

The city seems to have it all - a thriving bar/club/live music scene, beautiful old-town, cheap Czech beer and friendlier people than Warsaw.

I was pleasantly surprised when they mentioned NYE being free in The Vikings, a sure-fire guarantee that it'll be packed.

This habit of "wearing a suit and going to some overpriced rubbish to sit at a table and drink a half litre of vodka" really pisses me off here. Looks like The Vikings actually got their market right - of course the usual suspects will drink like fishes and everyone is happy.

I've been to Alive several times, I've seen some very talented young bands there. And it's free. Good deal.
