I have recently learned that the CELTA is now given online - the genuine CELTA, with a practicum component that must be done on site. A number of employers state specifically that the TESOL training cannot be online - yet they also say that the CELTA is acceptable, even preferred. I am sure that most, if all, of these employers do not know that the CELTA is available online now. How do you think this will pan out? I would hate to drop $3K on an online program and then get shot out of the water looking for a job.

I think that employers might change once they see that the big TEFL course provider: CELTA, has an online course.
