I'm starting to send in applications for jobs in SA and some of them require a cover letter. Can anyone give me some guidelines as to what employers want to see? I'm TOEFL and IELTS certified and I've been working with Saudi students for the past couple of years so I assume this is of interest to schools. What about the fact that I have no family or dependents to bring with me? Should I point this out? Any help I can get I surely do appreciate.

I had five paragraphs, each only a couple lines long:

1) intro, who I am, my degree, overview of qualifications
2) specific English teaching experience
3) other education experience (not EFL)
4) living abroad/cross-cultural experience
5) outro, thanks, contact info

If you PM me your email I can send you my cover letter, I'm not an expert at all but it might give you some ideas. Definitely mention how you've been working with Saudis for years. That would be my first sentence in paragraph 2. I wouldn't put that you're single on the cover letter, that info is provided on your CV.

Again, I'm in no way an expert, just some ideas!
