President Obama sent one hundred US troops to Uganda to help deal with a violent insurgent group...

Has Obama involved the US in another war?

We have military advisors in so many countries, why would you think that these in Uganda will become engaged in big time fighting? With military bases in dozens of countries all over the world, haven`t you ever considered what they have been doing there? They are from time to time involved in military consulting. Surprised? We only hear of the ones that are in the most perilous regions and only after the fighting escalates to the point that combat troops are deployed.

My conjecture is that Uganda will never develop into your worst fears. It is more than likely however, should next year`s elections be too close, that Obama will ratchet up the animosity between Iran and the US to the point that we bomb Qom unilaterally without Israeli`s help(other than through their intelligence)

The Lord's Resistance Army has no popular support, and survives only by murder, theft, and kidnapping (as well as rape, slavery, and cannibalism). It's able to get away with this because the governments in the area are weak, and the jungle makes it hard to track them, and they cover a large enough area that they don't eliminate their prey entirely. It's like worrying that it would be hard to exterminate the wolves, because the elk will lead a popular resistance. You just need to keep track of the elk, and kill the wolves whenever they attack.

Not that I justify the persecution of wolves. It's just an analogy.
