I thought after you get your visa, you have up to 90 days to enter. That's what all my Chinese visas had. Though on one of the many Chinese embassy / consulate / travel agent websites I looked at, it said you have up to 180.
Have they changed it? |

It really depends. I would plan for the 90 days, have heard of as little as 30 days. I believe is at their discretion to determine how much time they give. |

I just looked at my Z visa from last year. It was valid to enter for 90 days after issuance. |

Valid to enter China for 90 days. Then once you have entered, a new clock starts-30 days from date-of-entry to get it converted to a Residency Permit (RP). |
