Just figured out that on this exact day (28 October) I celebrate(!) ten years in Mexico.

Just saying...

You know, the obsession with fireworks, and the smallest pretext to make a noise, is probably the biggest single thing I DON'T like in Mexico, so I think I'll pass on that one.

By the way, a priest told me he had begged his congregation not to celebrate religious occasions with fireworks, going against the Christian values of peace and respect for one's neighbour, but to no avail.

Congrats Don Phil!

Unbeknownst to me I first set foot in Mexico on teacher's day.

Muchas felicidades to all who pass the ten year mark!

That San Judas is not the one who didn't make it to sainthood. It's another Judas also known as Saint Jude, the brother of James. I wonder, why is it that there don't seem to be any churches in Mexico named for him?

HOWEVER, I'm sure Phil is happy to know that he is the Patron Saint of desperate cases. Very Happy
