So I'm going to be working in northern Bogot (the 200s), and I'm going to need an apartment. If you had any place to pick, where would you live? |

Close to your school. I presume the school bus will be picking you up everyday? You'll want to be sure you have access to some kind of bus that will get you into and out of Bogota if you do choose to live way up there. The area up there is pretty nice if you like the idea of a more peaceful, country lifestyle. On the other hand, you'll have to get into Bogota to have any kind of a social life and making it back home on the weekends will be a nightmare. You may want to buy a car; to do that, you'll need to make, I don't know, minimum 5 million/month. |

mmm...i kinda disagree with this. Working in the 200s is very far north, and Spanglish is right that your first priority for choosing an apartment should be that it's close to work. However, I don't think getting home on the weekends will be a nightmare or that you need to buy a car. Maybe look for an apartment around Calle 127 or Calle 147 near the transmilenio line. From there, your commute to work shouldn't be too bad, and you're not that far from nightlife in parque 93, usaquen, or the zona t. |

Yep, that's a good plan. Just make sure your school will take you to and from work on the school bus and be prepared to get up early! |
