Hello, I've been teaching for 12 years in the U.S.-- mostly elementary and middle school Spanish and remedial reading and math through Title 1. I received my MA in ELL for k-12 in January of 2010 and took Michigan's state teacher test in order to include ESL as an endorsement on my current teaching certificate. Is this enough to get quality ESL teaching jobs abroad or do I need to worry about taking specific TESL/TEFL certification tests? Thanks!

Janelle

That would leave more more than adequately certified for jobs in EFL, ESL or international schools in any place you can qualify for a visa (Americans are unable to get a work visa in some countries - reciprocal treatment).
