I reside in a part of Turkey that is out of the reach of snow and oh, how I do miss snow! Does anyone else?
Dust of Snow
By Robert Frost 18741963
The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued. |

I am as well and I do miss it now that you mention it. Then again it's nice to not have to scrape the snow and ice off my car while shivering in sub-zero temperature and having to drive in it. Snow is beautiful when you're looking out the window at it, not so beautiful to actually be in. |

Oh, I love to be in snow! Snowball fights, sledding and walking in the snow are things I love to do. And of course, watching it fall outside while I'm relaxing in a nice, toasty warm house sipping hot cocoa. |

Haha, in the UK I love the snow, because we're lucky to get it once a year, it has literally snowed nearly everyday I've been in Istanbul and I can tell you it's not half as fun as you might think! |

Steve, what are you talking about? Snow is so much fun. I come from a snowy part of the world and I miss the snow. So, it was nice to have even for just a day. |

Haha, yes for one day I agree it's great! And it's not so much the snow I mind, more the -5 temperatures everyday and the slipping over on icy concrete that I don't find fun! |

I'm staying in Kadikoy on holiday, and I saw so many happy kids playing with the snow and someone built a nice snowman. An Italian I met on my flight had a hard time going to Italy some days ago. The snow in the Istanbul area looked gorgeous, and parts of Istanbul are gorgeous. I live in Korea, and I get plenty of snow there. I like the way it looks. I don't mind the occasional snow fall, but I can understand how to much of it can annoy people. I prefer snow to ice any day.
Has the U.K. had a lot of snow lately? I heard it's very cold in France and Germany at the moment and much of Poland.
How would the weather be in a place like Cappadocia this time of year? |
