I'm a long time teacher from Korea, and I'm here on vacation in Istanbul. I like the city so far. I was once here long ago when I was a kid. I can sort of get by on some survival Turkish. I can understand more than I can say. What help is I know Palestinian Arabic, and it has some Turkish words, and Turkish has plenty of Arabic words. It also has some French words, and I know French, as well. I'm an American teacher enjoying the city; I'm in the Kadikoy area.

Do some of the bank machines here have an English language option? I know many of the banks in Korea offer that, but I wasn't sure if Turkish banks did, too. I would except they should since they get many tourists.

Yes, the bank machines do offer an English language menu. I forgot if the menu option for English pops up after you type your pin number. I always do it in Turkish so I don't really pay attention to the sequence for selecting English.

Well, I'm going to try it with a Turkish girl I know. I would probably be able to guess what it says in Turkish, but I don't like to take chances and prefer to read something in either English or French. I look at one of the TC Ziraat ATM machines, and I didn't put my hard in. I only saw Turkish on the screen. I'll find out tomorrow. Hopefully, it's pretty easy.

It's gonna be cold tomorrow, folks. Keep warm.
