I suspect that it depends a lot on your lifestyle. It also depends on variables like whether the employer provides a furnished flat or a housing allowance...
We have had dozens of debates here about whether Dubai or Doha or Kuwait or Muscat costs more and there have been people who insisted that each one of them was the "most expensive" in the Gulf. There is usually agreement that Saudi is the cheapest.

In Oman I am receiving:
a furnished flat
1100 riyals per month
plane ticket
medical
I am surprised to learn that Muscat is more expensive than Doha! |

Qatar is more expensive than Oman, for certain.
Ironically there's significantly less to see and do in Qatar. Outside of Doha, there's literally nothing.
At least in Oman one can partake of numerous outdoor activities or many tourist destinations.
If I had to choose solely for banking/saving salary, I'd choose Qatar. If I wanted to enjoy my time during my contract, I'd choose Oman. |
