I like the weekend breakfast buffet at El Konditori in the Zona Rosa. I think it's around $165 for all you can eat including great omelettes and quesadillas made to order. |

There's one downtown, next to Sanborns "Casa de Azulejos" (Cinco de Mayo). About $65, but always a queue outside. |

I've eaten in several of those Chinese buffets and found the food to be awful - greasy and sweet with no Chinese mustard to be found on the premises. Mexico City is not the place to find good inexpensive Chinese food. There are always long lines at these places because the average Mexican loves all- you-can-eat buffets and has no idea of what decent Chinese food tastes like!! |

That's up to you, of course, Prof. Gringo. I liken Chinese food in Mexico City to the likes of Taco Bell in the States. |

I also like Taco Bell. I like good Mexican food in Mexico, Tex-Mex in the US or Taco Bell for a quick bite. |

Meridiem restaurant up at the Lago Mayor in Chapultepec park, 3rd section. They have a weekend breakfast/brunch buffet that is pretty good. Get there early as there is a line out the door by 10 AM.

Wings at the airport (upstairs) has a massive choice for breakfast buffet. The only time I've had chongos for breakfast! |

I like Mexico Viejo, a short block north of the north-west corner of the Zcalo. Maybe not the best, but good. Lots of Mexican dishes, with some novel twists. Quesadillas made to order and brought to your table. |
