What is the worst question you have been asked at interview? Recently, I was asked: “Do you see this post as your last step down to retirement?” I can do the job at least as well as the next person, who would be younger and cheaper. Anyhow, all being well, I am off to Thailand shortly. |

Let's see...
#1. What's your age? Oh, you're too old. Sorry, so sorry I can't hire you. (This was one of the first questions I was asked during a recent interview. Never mind about experience or qualifications.)
#2. Can you teach?
#3. Do you have children, any belongings, the list goes on and on.
#4. The most recent interview I think I asked too many questions and the director finally admitted he was probably going to hire another person. Oh well.
Sure am learning alot dealing with this whole process. It's all I can do to be patient some days and I suppose it's wearing a bit thin...I'd just like to know what is legal for the school to ask during the interview. |

How about "What's your religion?"
Now I understand that in some cultures this is considered a perfectly acceptable question - but I wish those same cultures understood that where I come from asking such a personal question will often earn you a punch in the nose!
Another: "Why aren't you married?" |
