|
|
The FAO at my next school told me that she cannot submit my online application for a new visa without my USA address and phone number.
I have been in Asia for 5 years now, I do not have a USA address or phone number and I don't want to use someone else's.
What other options are there? |

Make one up. It has no meaning. |

Interestinly, despite owning a home here, i've been asked the same question last year. What's in the brains of those people that create such rules/applications? |

I ran into this issue also. So I just used a relative's address. I don't think anyone cares. |

I used my 76 y/o mother's address. You probably could also just make one up. I was told by a student assistant at the Foreign Affairs Office that nobody checks it anyway. I haven't lived full time outside of China for more than 6 years. I really don't have an address at "home." |

It's not an unfair or stupid question to ask. You own a home in China, good for you. You are still not a citizen. Asking for a home address in a country where you are a citizen makes sense. Thinking that they are stupid for asking....does not make sense. |

I can recommend http://www.earthclassmail.com for anyone who needs a mail drop. Their service provides a street address, not a box number. |

in the states. |
