In public, this might not be something your employer likes.
I know I have a clause in my contract about certain kinds of political campaigning. If wearing that in public got back to your employer and it was perceived as a political statement rather than the joke it is, you could find yourself in hot water.
Plus I would avoid visually displaying any jokes to do with any controversial subject matter (politics, religion, disabilities, etc) for all to see. I mean this shirt is pretty harmless as far as political jokes go (it's certainly not Nazi Prince Harry or anything) but it would only take one orthodox nutcase to recognise you and complain to your employer to cause trouble.
Sure, share your "controversial subject" jokes with your friends or an audience that will appreciate it just don't plaster it on your person in public where there is the potential for some funny duddy to take offense and report you.
Personal anedote time:
Actually one of my old JH JTEs managed to use this same line as a verbal hint in a What am I game, which the kids found doubly hilarious when I stupidly responded with, "But Obama's not the PM of Japan..." *uncomfortable silence with 20+ eyes on me waiting to see if I can work it out* "... Oh!" Which was followed by a near riot when the class comedian I'd nicknamed Jack Bauer finshed in an extremely timely manner, "... No! My cola!" |

No, no-one would care as long as you don't wear it to work. People are usually not very political here and there are far wackier T-shirts around than yours if you live in a larger city.
People might be mildly amused given that Kan is no longer PM, but other than that I'd be surprised if you got a reaction at all. |
