Like there are no English teachers in the UK... they have to import them?
If it sounds too good to be true.....
BUT... maybe they do need to import a teacher since who would expect an English speaking person in England - Don't they all speak some foreign language?

Yes, I hadn't thought of that. I am not in England, and I've never even been there, but I suppose you could round up a few people who can manage in English.
Did you see that his wife's name is Wu?
Wu Fu? I wonder if she has Wi-Fi. |

Tell him to go to Language Specialists International in Portsmouth. I taught there once and it's a really well-run school. |

Heck, you can tell him yourself:
Dr. Chun-Ming Fu [email protected]
It would be pretty funny if a lot of us inundated him with CVs. |

I've received at least a few of this same basic e-mail.
Now that I think of it, the "family"is always based out of the UK. I wonder why that is? |

This is definitely a total SCAM. If you check the postcode address, you will see this is a flat put up for rent on the "gumtree" website.
Whatever you do, do not reply or pay any money. Tibetans do not have names such as Chun- Ming Fu. |

Well, I hadn't mentioned it because it seems so clearly implied. You'd have had to just rolled off the TEFL turnip truck to fall for this one. |

Dear voltaire,
Always lots of turnips on that truck - that's why scammers keep scamming.

But the turnips keep on truckin'... There must be an ongoing market as this scam has been doing the rounds for some time. Here are some other versions of "Dr. Chun-Ming Fu":

Right you are Artemisia, and johnslat and nomad soul. The link quoted above is practically word for word from the letter I started this post with.
One more quote, if you will, this one from P.T. Barnum:
