Hi everyone. I'm trying to find out if there are any jobs in Europe for native English speakers who have little foreign language knowledge and little/no TEFL experience. Ideal places would be Italy, Spain, Germany, France, or Amsterdam, but pretty much anywhere would work for me.

I don't have thousands of dollars to live off of while there, so part-time and volunteer/school options won't work for me.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Luke

Slim pickings I would say. And to be honest if you are not a citizen of one of the EU member states you will have problems in the EU.

I do not want to be negative - just realistic !

It's thirty years since I last worked in France and Spain, where I did quite well. Having heard some colleagues' more recent experiences, I know that the pay is barely subsistence-level, and you get clobbered for income tax.

I taught for three years in Spain and definitely wasn't "clobbered" for income tax.
Yes, some language schools pay subsistence wages, but there are good deals to be had. It's a question of shopping around.

Ichogan, are you American or European?? If you are European, then there are definately opportunities for you..if not...hmmm, might be more difficult as already said.
