I'm really interested in teaching EFL in Jakarta, but I'm not really interested in teaching young learners. My teaching experience has been entirely with adults, and I'm looking for adult-only language institutes. I've heard of Wall Street Institute and I'm well-read on all the pros and cons for this school, but I was wondering if there are other adult-only schools in Jakarta?
Does anyone know anything about AIM for English, for example? I came across this website recently, but I haven't been able to find any reviews from teachers.
Many thanks! |

AIM is an independent operation in South Jakarta started by a couple of westerners and Indonesian partners a few years ago. Well-equipped school that's big enough to be viable, but small enough to be personal. Definitely give them a go... |

I haven't worked for them, but I did have a friend who worked there and was quite happy with them both in terms of hours and pay (I believe they were gettting more than Rp 15,000,000 per month). I've actually never heard a single gripe or bad thing about them and I say no news is good news! They likely have limited openings though as I think they are a fairly small operation. |
