I have a 120 hour TEFL

I spent a year in University studying banking but am in the middle of changing my course...taking a gap for a year or two.

I will have 3 months of teaching experience before I go to Thailand at the beginning of August and perhaps I will undertake some voluntary experience there. Some of my experience will be private tuition for monks, some of my experience will be teaching beginner classes, some of my experience will be teaching intermediate classes, and 2 months of my experience will be spent teaching in a school.

I consider myself a good teacher. I am smart, confident, kind, have a good sense of humor and also having experience teaching sales in my previous job. I have had experience learning french to a near fluent standard.

Is there any help you can give me on getting a teaching job?

I saw an ad on tefl.com from a company called Anglia Scholars looking for teachers in Hunan or Zhejiang. It said no degree or experience required, but you must love working with children.
I am sure you have to have a degree to work legally, but......!

If you're going to Thailand at the beginning of August then maybe someone will reply to your thread on that forum, or the various other forums where you posted. Doesn't look like you've got much of a plan here so far. Perhaps narrow down where you want to go first then give it a shot.

Since you have no plan, your best bet is to get the longest visa you can get, pick a city, and then hit the pavement and visit all the private language sweatshops. These schools are always looking for a piece of meat and will pretty much hire anyone.

If I were you I'd go back to uni and get your education out of the way, I know it sounds exciting to come and have a years working holiday, learning the language, partying etc..

Without a degree you are limited to what kind of job you can get and are more likely to find yourself in some bottom of the barrel training school. This just means you are more likely to be abused by one of the many unscrupulous employers that are out there. The jobs market in China is a real snakepit. Beware
