Loads of UK universities offer distance learning MA/MSc degrees in TEFL/TESOL/TEFL+ Linguistics. Try :
Birmingham
Swansea
Leicester
Bangor
Aston (MSc)
Exeter
Lancaster
Portsmouth
Sheffield
Sheffield Hallam
York
Manchester (MEd)
London, Institute of Education
There could be more, I just got tired of writing a list ! If you google, you will probably find the answer. |

Thanks for that. Will have a look. However, I now realise I forgot to say I am looking at doing a BA in TESOL or similar. |

TESOL is mostly a graduate degree area. You can't get into a masters degree without an undergraduate degree (usually), but you CAN get into a post grad certificate in it without an undergrad degree. And then you can get into a masters degree in TESOL from having the post-grad certificate in TESOL. Check with the list of British universities posted to see if they have that option (I'm pretty sure Aston does). |

The problem then lies in "where in the world" does he want to work.
Immigration authorities, as many bureaucrats, are very prone to "follow the book" and if the requirement for a visa states, "Bachelors degree required" they are not usually prone to accept anything in lieu of said undergrad degree.
While that route may work for employment in the UK (for a UK national) and may well also work in the EU for a UK national it won't work in most of Asia where the undergrad is a requirement for proper paperwork.
