I need to rent an apartment in Bishkek for the month of July.
Any advice for me?

If you speak Russian, buy one of the weekly newspapers at the kiosk. If you have a friend, have them go there and look at it and get the price. That is how I did it in Kazakhstan

If you are taking the train into the city, you might be asked at the station... some apts come with "housekeepers" as well (fill in the blank)

I am guessing whomever you rent from will have to make sure you register with the Police and immigration. Make sure they do this or you will have a surprise waiting for you at the airport when you try to leave!
