Anybody out there had any contact with this "organization"? Just curious what they are all about. They seem to be offering WELL BELOW the market standard for intro EFL jobs in Thailand.
Just looked at their website. They seem to be another one of these pay a lot for "volunteer" jobs that one could easily get once in country for free.
Can't comment on the non-teaching "volunteer" options they offer (for a hefty price) but I would suggest that people avoid these programs like the plague for "teaching" jobs.
As mentioned in an earlier post in the Thailand section (volunteer teaching)
http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=95194,
these "volunteer" teaching positions do more harm than good in the long run, for both students and schools AND for local NES teachers. |

I've never worked with Greenheart, but I've heard many horror stories from the Vietnam branch. I would agree with you on the whole volunteer thing doing more harm than good. Some people might like them, but more often then not you end up being placed in terrible housing with no options for moving, and just enough pay to scrape by.
I mean the whole thing is sold on "EXPERIENCE THE CULTURE OF A NEW COUNTRY." And while that's certainly part of the appeal of foreign teaching, that's not all there is to it. Not to mention the fact that there's little chance for experiencing much of the culture with the tiny amounts of money you make. |

I don't know anything about Greenhart but I do know about marketing. I would not trust reviews posted on the hosts website. They are usually either fabricated or cherry picked. |
