Hello,

Im pretty excited to hear that I have passed the NET interview, and am waiting for my references to be checked before my personal file will be included in this Bureaus central candidate pool for schools reference upon their request. Interested schools may contact you directly regarding their working conditions and job duties at the school matching stage.

After reading up on the NET scheme, it seems that whether you have a good experience or not all depends on what school you end up working for. I have checked, and I am able to contact schools directly to apply for the position of NET teacher. But how do I know which schools are good to work for and which are not? Are there any posts/lists on the internet?

I am currently working and living in Hong Kong so would like to try and arrange meetings with some of the schools.

Thank you.

Check this site out. Has a blacklist. Might be helpful.

Get the name of the school you are interested in and then either try and contact the NET there directly or get on the pnet forum...

just go onto scump - south china morning post - you can get into the jobs classifieds and look for primary schools there. you need to mention you have already been accepted by edb.
most new nets get their first positions through the edb. the schools who advertise in the scump are usually looking for a face to face interview with nets who are already in hong kong.

Hello,

Thank you for your replies everyone.

I tried to join the PNET forum but you need to already be working at a primary school to join.

Daniel I contacted the person who had sent me the email saying I had been accepted.

Thanks again.
