Hi everybody! (Hi Dr. Nick!)
Long-time lurker, first-time posting. My girlfriend and I will be applying to ECC very soon because all the threads Ive searched on this site indicate that they are very couple-friendly (unlike Aeon). Since we cant travel this June (scheduled surgery), we have timing question for everyone thats applied to ECC: How long did it take between applying to ECC and being scheduled for an interview? Obviously wed hate to apply, have ECC tell us to show up in June, and then force them to reschedule making a bad impression right off the bat.
Also, a search of these forums pulled up information about people whod completed the interview and had repeated delays from interview to job, but not much information on application to interview. We plan to avoid the repeated delays once we complete the interview by requesting anywhere except Tokyo, which seems to be the opposite of most applicant's placement strategy. Has anyone who requested anywhere but Tokyo suffered ECC placement delays?
Thanks for listening. |

Hello, That one guy.
While I was scheduled for an appointment pretty quickly after applying, the actual interview wasn't for a month or two later so I had time to save up money for the trip (the interview wasn't held in my city).
I wouldn't worry about "making them" reschedule; if you're planning on going to their Toronto location, they claim to have interviews year-round. What I remember them doing a couple years ago is sending an email out with a number of interview days available; they would ask you to choose which day worked best, then send you another email to confirm. If none of the dates on the original email work, you can probably just ask them if they have anything planned for later on.
As for delays... Considering that their main locations are in the Kinki area, you should be fine if you tell them "anywhere but Tokyo". If location doesn't matter though, you could just say "anything is fine" to maximize your chances!
Good luck! |
