I saw a post on ECA ages and ages ago which was a warning on E-Chinacities and it suddenly occurred to me to ask about the visa things and how I was to be paid and this is what happened.

He seemed ok and quite positive. I did get hit with a surprise need for a demo but that wasn't the problem. However when I looked at his contract it was obviously unprofessional. Anyway I didn't worry too much because my contract was with the school, they make the visa but then things started to change. I became very suspicious when the school didn't want me to see their contract. I mean I need it to create the visa but at all times they wanted one of their staff to carry my visa creating contract to accompany me and hold onto all documents. When I asked to view the contract there were many excuses, such as it was still in the office or OK I'll show you later when I have time very dodgy. Then later Kevie said it was ok to just work on an L visa and I needn't a working visa and that if the school didn't like it not to worry he can get me another place. It was all very suspicious. When I decided not to work with him he became VERY abusing huring F words and sending lots of messages swearing and calling me names.

ECA website is www.52eca.org and he has two assistants Annie and Herman but Kevie is the owner I guess of the business.

Anyway BEWARE Kevie and his schools are obviously all pulling something so keep well away. I went to PRCEnglish www.prcenglish.cn in South China Normal University and the guy also had a very low budget thing going but at least he was honest about the conditions. I got my work visa! Also he pays better 200rmb as oppose to Kevie's 150.

This makes no sense. A first-post, no quoting or reference to actual original post you are talking about, no details, etc. What is the point? Of the thousands upon thousands of foreigners in China working in foreign language, why would you think any majority of them worked here or would work here? China is large and widespread.

What is the real point of this first post?

hmmmm

The point is to protect other teachers from being victims of this type of abuse. What is the point of posting 85+ attacks on fellow members?
