English Town has a very poor reputation on Mainland China, I do not know about Hong Kong, however.
They openly lie to attract teachers, have held teachers' passports, refused to pay them, and the like. The head office gave zero help for those teachers in dire straights. I had four friends who worked at English Town in near tears due to their abuse of their teachers. One in particular had to endure a 3-hour tearing down around the meeting table being told she was a terrible teacher, didn't know anything... yet they oddly kept her employed.
Google is your friend and I suggest checking it out. |
