Would truly appreciate updated information regarding the following:
- Salary range at PSU and KSU for women(basic salary).
- Are salaries negotiable or is it a "take or leave it" kind of offer?

My qualifications are modest: BA and Full Time TEFL.

I will be relocating to Riyadh with my husband. I am not worried about accommodations since his job offers excellent accommodations plus health benefits.

The reason I ask is a friend who lives and works in Saudi said my offer was very low:
PSU 10,000 SR (I feel this is very low)
KSU 12,000SR

From what I read on the forum, I got the impression that PSU is better than KSU in the treatment of it's staff. Please correct me if I got the wrong impression.

Any additional information regarding work atmosphere would be highly valued.

Thank you.

if its 12000 SAR plus housing allowance that is pretty standard for a agency recruiter contract.

You didn't state if you have a valid (face-to-face) TEFL cert. and how much TEFL experience you have. If the latter is minimal, that may be why the offer is mediocre. Also, the employer may be treating you like a local hire, which also doesn't make for a solid offer. Is this through a recruiter or is it a direct-hire situation?

I confirm that this salary is pathetic. They must pay you around SR 12000 - 13000, which is standard pay for someone with a BA and TEFL cert.

To answer your question I have 5 years of experience as an efl teacher and my TEFL is not online but an actual TEFL. I was a direct hire(a friend helped me send my resume directly).
I am not greedy I just simply don't want to be taken advantage of.
Thanks to all for contributing.

Unfortunately, from the employers perspective, that offer most likely reflects your modest credentials. Saudi unis generally prefer teachers with masters degrees and often have no trouble finding candidates who fit the bill. Case in point, I have a related masters degree plus the "desired" previous Mid East TEFL experience. I'm paid about 2500 riyals more a month than one of my colleagues who possesses an unrelated BA and CELTA but tops me with several more years of experience (gained in Asia). As with all jobs, it comes down to what the employer wants/requires. Anyway, Prince Sultan U. isnt the only show in town. Definitely apply at other universities; you might just get a juicier offer.

Thanks nomad-soul. Would you recommend any other Uni?
