Ok. In the past a few students have come to me for help regarding the Oral/Listening aspects of the CET4 exams at Uni level. Previously, I just taught them as I would any Oral English student, but the results have been disappointing. While their fluency increases, and their Grammar is sound, the results are lower than what I would have expected. [Their accuracy is admittedly hit-and-miss, but time is usually quite limited]
SO. for anyone with experience of preparing students for the college/University level exams, could you provide a framework of study, and any particular focuses that might be needed...
I would really appreciate any information since I'm getting more and more of these requests both from students in my own university and also from private students. |

Every part of China is different but getting a reputation for giving free English lessons will soon consume all your available time. Private one-on-one lessons should start at 100 RMB for a 50 minute unit. I suspect rates up to 200 RMB will not be alarming in Xi'an.
Personally, I would not accept students, or others referred to you by students, from your University that can just to lead to an unnecessary complication. |

Which is not what I asked for. This is my second year at this University and my third in China teaching. I don't need such advice.
Rather I'd like advice related to the CET4 exam and similar University level examinations. |

What does this have to do with the question at hand? |
