Hello,

I'm wondering if there's any information on the present conditions of the NET Program. I followed a lot of the drama a few years back with the one "evil" supervisor but heard that he was gone and things were changing for the better. Then it seems that discussion about this program have all but vanished.

Has it really become better or has the BOE cracked down so hard on the teachers that they're too scared to continue talking about it on the internet?

I'm interested in applying sometime in the future but don't want to waste my time if it's still full of crazy, unreasonable problems.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You missed the deadline for the few positions that opened up mid-year though. Next deadline should be later this year.

Thanks for the reply and the link.

I'm amazed to have found someone who works/worked as a NET. I was beginning to think it was impossible.

Are you still currently working for them? If it wouldn't be too much of a problem, can I ask you some questions? Perhaps through PM.

Thanks, too, for the heads-up on when they'll be hiring again. I've seen the open positions before, but I passed up on them. I don't even know when/if I'd apply as I currently have a good--if not entirely satisfying--private contract but would love to get back to Okayama one day.

Let me know if it's ok for me to contact you.
