I'm leaving Saudi for Ramadan in July and unfortunately have a helluva long time to wait for my plane. It's during the day (from early afternoon until midnight). Any suggestions as to what to do to kill some time? Unfortunately, I have been to Riyadh before and feel as though I've seen pretty much everything there is to see.

Ouch! I feel for you! Even a short layover in a Saudi airport is mind-numbing and frustrating, especially when you are in anticipation of one of the sweetest feelings in the world, which is leaving Saudi Arabia.

How about buying a Sony psp and some good games, and finding a quiet corner to play in? Buy an ipod and stock it up with hundreds of your favourite songs? Or just buy a very good book (or two) and sit and read them? If those don't appeal, then maybe book a room/day room at an airport hotel and sleep for a large chunk of it?

Look on the bright side though, at least you are going on holiday and are waiting several hours to leave, and enter the real world, rather than board a domestic flight to another Saudi city. Things could be worse!

Enjoy your hols!
