Hi, I've tried using the search function but it doesn't seem to be working (tried 2 different browsers as well).

I had some questions about these 2 schools. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Both schools are located in Guangzhou, and focus around teaching kindergarten level.

Also I have contracts drafted from each school. If anyone is willing to help by looking over contracts please PM, I don't know if contract-specific help is allowed on this forum or not.

I can comment a bit on Aipusen. I did a 6 month stint with them about 4 years ago and then put in my notice and got out. They were very good about releasing me.

Aipusen is not a school. They are a private company that farms you out to public and private schools around Guangzhou (mostly primary schools, but a few middle schools). The salary is good, the teaching is not bad. I found the boss and the chinese staff to be very nice.

The big negatives are they try to put you up in SHARED housing, which sucks, and when i was there they would absolutely not negotiate the possibility of getting your own place. So you get to share a place with a stranger who may be decent or may be a stoned out loser doing drugs in your living room.

The other main reason i left early was I was working at 2 or 3 different schools per day (in the most far-flung areas of Guangzhou) and would often have 2-3 hours of commute time. This was not mentioned when i was hired and was just utterly exhausting on top of the actual classroom and prep time.

I work here at Phoenix City. Been here two years.

It's in the transition into being an International Baccalaureate school, and is hopping through a bunch of hoops, changing its old style to match the international standards. So if you keep looking, you'll find some complaints, but they are actively dealt with.

Be in touch with a few of the people on the lists that currently work here to find out how it really is.

Cheers~ If you have any questions, feel free to PM.

Ask the people who gave you the contracts. I assume that it was a recruiter. If so, the recruiter should be able to answer your questions. If she can't answer the questions and won't contact the school, move on. It's an omen.
