Um ... which one is longest, "epoch," "era," or "eon?" I've forgotten, but I'll need to know in order to properly answer this question. |

Um, 63 years at this rate, and i'm not even sure i can maintain this rate... it assumes I can put aside $6000 a year, which I have done for a few years but don't know if I can do it indefinitely.
I'll be a very wealthy 93 year old.... if $1000 000 is worth anything by then. |

Well, you can ask Kurochan over on the Chinese forum, but I think that is how much she paid for her last perm in CHina |

At the rate I am going now, it will take me 63 years and 5 months (and that is only if my daughter pays her own way through university, which I am trying to avoid). That would make me just under 96 years of age when I hit the million dollar mark. You're all officially invited to help me celebrate my 96th birthday on my brand new private yacht in the year 2067. |

Shame on you CG. You want your daughter to pay for her own education. |

29 years and 7 months. That's better than I thought and maybe a little optimistic about what the interest rate will be. I wouldn't mind retiring at 64. I think that assumes that my kids will be financially independent by 8. |

Actually, no, I don't. I want her to focus on her studies, not on how she's going to pay off her student loan(s). |

I had NASA run a few numbers for me, and the amount of fuel contained within the Sun is insufficient for our solar system to last that long. |

At least my hair hasn't turned orange this time! Although, if I don't take care of it, I start looking like Ellen Burstyn in Requiem for a Dream!
(And according to my calculations, it'll take me 53 years. I'll be 87. But then again, according to a Chinese fortune teller, I'll die when I'm 79. So close, and yet so far!) |

I'll return once I've procured a new job. Otherwise, the category may be more aptly titled, "How long until you spend your first $ million."

SPENT my first million...may have done that a few times over by now...
I thought about figuring out HOW much I have made since I started working, but I worry that it would depress me too much. |
