|
|
I applied to an international school in Jeddah about 6 weeks ago. I had an interview 2 weeks ago. It went well and they offered me a job. However last week I received an e-mail from the school telling me that I could not work for them as they did not have any visas for Irish citizens.
Is this the case with a lot of KSA international school? I am planning to apply to Saudi next year as well.
Regards. |

I know some Irish here on Celtic passports working at universities and it may depend on the contractor what countries they have block visas for, but for direct hire it should make no difference for private and government universities.

They may have found someone else and using this as an excuse. They tend to do this quite a bit. |

It was an international school, not a university.
I know that they didn't find someone else as the job was re-advertised a few days later.
I guess it depends on the school. |

That was very stupid and disrespectful of them to interview you in the first place. |
