Does anyone have recommendations about specific places to stay the first couple of weeks in H.C.M.C.?
I'd like to avoid Pham Ngu Lao St. I'm not looking for somewhere dirt cheap although I will be on a bit of a budget. Comfort and quiet are my priorities.

| Just off of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai across from intersection at Hai Ba Truong there are some huge guest houses for about $150/month - no deposit, no contract. Near Somerset. |
